Border security applications include primary detection on avenues of approach, outside the fence, early warning and the cueing of other systems’ equipment to augment and enhance effectiveness and save power consumption. QTI produces a range of seismic, magnetic, passive infrared, break beam, break wire, hydrophone, acoustic and other more specialized sensors. QTI sensors and transmitters can boast of three years in the field without a battery change. QTI sensors possess a very covert profile as these sensors are designed to operate while buried or concealed, making visual detection nearly impossible. The RF profile of much of QTI equipment is designed for maximization of stealth and minimization of power consumption as each transmission sent is a non-repeating short burst message, making it nearly impossible to detect, locate and intercept.
